Lorenzo Spedini

After graduating in Civil Engineering from the University of Parma, in 2000 he founded the company Ecomembrane Srl with two other engineers, with the aim of developing inflatable covers for gas storage. In 2016, he obtained a two-year Master’s degree in Textile Structures Engineering from Technische Universitaet in Vienna. He founded the wholly-owned subsidiary Ecomembrane LLC located in Little Rock, AR, USA, which produces the same products as the Italian company. During Ecomembrane’s 20 years of growth, he has developed over 10 patents for membrane gas management and measurement. Currently, he is the CEO of the Company, which has a global presence in over 40 countries.

After graduating in Electronic Engineering in Pavia, he started his entrepreneurial activity, becoming an inventor and owner of many patents in the swimming pool and alternative energy sector, such as the patent for the self-supporting tensile structure for swimming pools and the one developed in collaboration with Enea for gasometers with constant pressure made with waterproof membranes in the alternative energy sector.
Currently, he is a partner and administrator of SBS Solar, a company that operates in the industrial photovoltaic systems sector, and partner and board member of Ecomembrane Srl. Thanks to his innovations and patents, Luigi Spedini has established himself as one of the leading experts in the swimming pool and alternative energy sector, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the future.

Fabio Sattin

Graduated with honours in Business Economy at the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Fabio L. Sattin is Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Private Equity Partners and Adjunct Professor in Private Equity and Venture Capital at Luigi Bocconi University, Milan. He has over 30 years’ direct investment experience in Private Equity having executed dozens of transactions, mainly in buy-out, buy & build, expansion capital and pre-IPO deals. He started his career in marketing and international business strategy at Olivetti in 1983, and after a period of training in London and New York he was Vice President and Managing Director of Chase Investment Bank (now J.P. Morgan Chase), responsible for M&A and Equity Investment in Italy. In 1989 he co-founded Private Equity Partners S.p.A., a primary independent investment company operating both directly and through its subsidiary Private Equity Partners SGR S.p.A. in the private equity and venture capital field. He is member of the MP3 Observatory on Public Private Partnerships of L. Bocconi University, the Advisory Board of the Italian Society of Financial Analysts (AIAF), the Past Chairmen Group of EVCA (European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association – now Invest Europe). He is Faculty Member of AIFO Academy (Italian Family Officer Association), Professor at specialist courses offered by different Universities and institutions, member of the Scientific Committee of “Il Veltro – Rivista della civiltà italiana”, member of various scientific and research groups and board member of several Italian and foreign companies and institutions. In 2009 he was granted the “Cafoscarino Alumnus of the year 2008” award by the Ca’ Foscari Alumni Association in Venice. Fabio L. Since then, she has been working as Financial Analyst and Investment Manager in the Italian Private Equity field. She is Director at Private Equity Partners S.p.A., specialized in mid-corporate M&A deals. During her activity, he gained considerable competence in extraordinary corporate transactions, financial restructuring of leveraged buy-out and expansion financing deals, the reorganization and development of investee companies and investments in capital markets. In particular, she gained her professional experience in the management of the closed-ended funds JP Morgan Italian Fund III and Private Equity Partners Fund IV.

He is currently the owner of his own law firm, specializing in civil, commercial, and corporate law, and he is an independent board member of Ecomembrane Srl. He has extensive work experience, including the position of Bankruptcy Trustee, Liquidator, and Court-Appointed Sales Professional at the Court of Cremona, where he managed numerous real estate execution procedures. Furthermore, he is an Expert Negotiator in business crises.
